Kapil Sharma will not be going to jail anytime soon!
Recently, Kapil Sharma got embroiled in another controversy when the comedian tweeted that he was asked for a bribe by BMC. He even took a dig at PM Narendra Modi and his motto of 'Acche din'.
BMC officials then went ahead and revealed that Kapil illegally built a portion in his new office which was demolished in early 2016.They also accused him of destroying the mangrove belt and made changes to his apartment that was not legal. A FIR was filed against the comedian and it was reported that he might face up to 3 years of jail imprisonment for the issue.
However, Kapil's fans can breathe a sigh of relief as a leading daily reported that Kapil will not be arrested.
A senior officer informed a daily, "Supreme Court directions forbid us from making immediate arrests. The actors will have to submit an explanation which will be analysed and scrutinised by our officers. Statements of the actors will be recorded. We will verify whether their submission fits what’s legal. A final report will then be prepared."
