What? Rubina Dilaik could not have played Soumya in Shakti... Astitiva Ke Ehsaas Ki!
The show Shakti... Astitiva Ke Ehsaas Ki is touching upon one of the risky concepts, where the lead heroine plays the role of a transgender. Rubina Dilaik, who plays the role of Soumya in the film, is a kinnar as they call it in the show.
As per a popular entertainment portal, Rubina would have never played Soumya in the show. Reportedly, she was auditioning for the role of Surbhi, which is currently played by Roshni Sahota. While doing the look tests for the show, she even auditioned for the character of Surbhi.
Ms Dilaik was asked about this news and how did she feel that she almost couldn't have played Soumya if she was selected to play Surbhi. To which she said, "An actor gives life to a character, so anything that would have been decided for me, I would have personally taken the challenge to give it my best. Hence, if I played Surbhi, it would also have been totally different and challenging in its way."
Shakti... Astitiva Ke Ehsaas Ki also stars Vivian Dsena, Reena Kapoor, Kamya Punjabi and Ayub Khan in pivotal roles.
