Angoori Bhabhi aka Shilpa shakes a leg with Rishi and Paresh for Patel Ki Panjabbi Shaadi!
Shilpa Shinde who played Angoori Bhabhi on the popular TV show, Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain recently filmed a fun number in Sanjay Chhel's comedy film, Patel Ki Panjabbi Shaadi.
The movie also stars Rishi Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Vir Das and South actress Payal Ghosh.
On the plot of the movie, Sanjay informed a popular tabloid, "The film is a cross-cultural comedy with Rishi playing a boisterous Punjabi and Paresh, a traditional Gujarati. They share a Tom and Jerry kind of a relationship peppered with personality clashes. The special number is set during an engagement ceremony."
About the dance number which sees Shilpa shaking a leg with Rishi and Paresh, Sanjay said that the Lalit Pandit composed song required a sensuous woman with an innocent face. He said, "Shilpa fits the bill.She is a male fantasy and also popular among the family audience, a great combo of sex appeal and a sanskari image."
The actress is thrilled with her filmy break but didn't have the time to shed some weight before hand. "It was the film's last schedule and I didn't want to lose out on the song," she said.
What was Rishi and Paresh's reaction to her controversial exit from Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain? She answered, "He'd (Rishi) heard about me leaving the show and pointed out that I should not have got off a chalti gaadi, we are artists. I told him, `aag lagi aur mujhe koodna pada.' Even Pareshji admitted that his wife (Swaroop Sampat) used to watch my show."
