It's not even been a month to The Kapil Sharma Show and it has already invited controversies. The show apart from its gags is also in the news for angering the nursing staff.

According to media reports, nursing staff from different medical colleges and hospitals staged protest at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital in Amritsar. They have been hurt and have accused Kapil on vulgarly portraying nurses in the form of Rochelle Rao and Kiku Sharda.

One of the reports stated that the nurses and nursing staff raised slogans against both Kapil and Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is also part of the show. According to a statement in a leading daily, Raj Bedi, State General Secretary, Punjab Nursing Association said, "How can Sidhu be part of a show like this that demeans someone's profession? He keeps laughing at jokes made about the medical profession, including those on doctors, even when his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu (Amritsar-East MLA) is a doctor. We as a community expected that Sidhu would not support this nonsense and such vulgar jokes. Nurses have been objectified on the show since its beginning."

The nursing union is planning to file a defamation case against Kapil Sharma, concluded the report.
