The bold and beautiful Priya Malik knows how to grab eyeballs wherever she goes! She is undoubtedly one of the reasons why the reality show Big Boss managed to garner TRPs. Known to speak her heart out and not mince words, the glam diva is all set to host a saucy show dealing with the love life of the underworld mafias.
Titled as Gangster Ki Girlfriend, Priya will be seen revealing unknown secrets of the love life of the dons. Going by the lines of Guns and glamour, Priya says that she is sure to add the much oomph factor to the show. "It is a show shot in a grand way but put across in a biopic style. I'll be narrating stories of Abu Salem, Dawood Ibrahim and others of how they got devastated in their love lives with Bollywood actresses. So we have done recreations of the stories and also have got original footages, interviews and headlines of the stories. It will give an overview of how these love stories affected Bollywood and underworld. It's a well-scripted show and a lot of award-winning directors and writers are working on this show right now."
Underworld has always been synonymous to controversies and with Bollywood tagged along, its just adds fuel to the fire! While talking about the show's possibility of stirring controversies, Priya says, "Yes, it's a little controversial, But I did not mind taking up this because at the end all this did happen. We are not glorifying it or exaggerating it. We are simply telling what all had happened exactly. And actually, I like the fact that it is not a mainstream and is slightly different. Its not a fictional narrative or something imaginative. It's all real."
While audiences are sure to expect a lot of hot and happening stuff to be aired on this show, Priya also in return expects the audiences to watch her narrate the entire saga. "I would want the audiences to see my narration because I have been told that audiences like my narration, the way I talk, I explain. I am adding the element of the 'Unapologetic Priya' to the entire show. I have also lost a little weight for this. I am looking the good on camera. We all know of the stories from the surface but what we are doing is giving in depth information on it. The show is going to be told in the Priya way!"
While talking about her collaboration with the show,the pretty lady says, "I have done a show before with the channel during the world cup T20 and they liked my stint there. So then they offered me to host this show, and actually I too am looking to doing something similar in the industry, so I took it up. I first thought I would do an evil Bhabhi or an icchadhari Naagin or rather an icchadhari honeybee, but then you know I think that's no what I want to do."
Having said that, the actress definitely doesn't see herself donning heavy sarees, accessories o rdoing something that is completely absurd. Priya who rather wants to take up hosting or anchoring, while talking about her stint as a host said that it is completely on the shoulders of the face of the show to set the right mood for the audiences. "Its very important to convey the story in the right manner. When I was shooting for the first episode on Dawood Ibrahim, I had to talk about his love life in detail but also keep in mind about the Mumbai Bomb blasts that happened that time. So it was a very sensitive topic I had to deal with as a host."
Gangster Ki Girlfriend will air on ABP channel and will be a weekend show marking its debut today at 10 pm.
