Really proud of Kamya, Vikas & others, they are doing a commendable job by standing up for Pratyusha- Roop Durgapal
Even after a week of Pratyusha Banerjee's sudden suicide, it is still difficult to believe that the actress is no more! Her friends from the real and reel life are leaving no stone unturned in fighting for their late friend to get justice! Her close acquaintances and ex-co-stars are praying for her soul to rest in peace. One such co-star of 'Anandi' is Roop Durgapal aka Sanchi of Balika Vadhu. The actress who played the role of Anandi aka Pratyusha's sister in law says that she still isn't able to believe that Pratyusha is no more!
While talking exclusively to us Roop said, "I was very shocked to hear about Pratyusha's suicide. I initially thought it was an April fool prank since it was 1st of April. The moment I realised that it was true, I rushed to the hospital. Even there I was praying and hoping that this should be an ugly prank and wanted Pratyusha to be alive. I met her parents recently, and tried to console them. Pratyusha was their only daughter. For them, it's their biggest loss in life. And also, last time when I had met Pratyusha about 3-4 months ago, her mother was staying with her. But sadly when this happened, they could not be with her!" Roop disagrees to believe that Pratyusha could ever commit suicide." She was a very happy, bindass and strong-willed girl! I refuse to believe that it could be a suicide! She did not have much maturity as such, because to commit suicide is a mature step!" Stating about Rahul and Pratyusha's relation, she said that she did neither knew much about their relationship nor about Rahul. "I met Rahul at a party. That was where Pratyusha introduced us to him. I did not know him before that at all," said Roop.
In general terms, for all the people who find it difficult to face tough tasks in life, Roop requests them to be strong in every aspect! "Hard life is everywhere! There are ups and downs in every profession of life; just not in the glamour world. You definitely need close buddies and a good family support. You need to stay positive and strong! You just need to learn to be happy in every aspect of life and not give up."
While talking about Pratyusha's best friends who have vowed to get her justice and stand by her inconsolable parents through thick and thin, Roop says, "I am really proud of them! I met Kamya Punjabi and spoke to her. And all I can say is she and the rest are doing a commendable task! Kamya and Vikas Gupta were managing everything at the recent prayer meet of Pratyusha. Right from staying strong to consoling Pratyusha's parents, they were doing everything. Her parents do not know much about this place and at such time, having a great support in the form of Pratyusha's friends will surely give them more courage and strength. And also, if Kamya is supporting them,then it is definitely because she knows a lot about it. She will not say something just for the sake of saying! Kamya and Pratyusha have always been close, so if she is being their pillar of strength at their trying times, that means unko pata hoga Pratyusha ke life ke baare mein! But seriously, they are doing a very good job and are completely fulfilling the responsibility of a true friend."
