The comedian initially had struggled a lot. He began his acting in Amritsar. He also taught at drama at a girls college in Delhi. The actor right from working in a cloth mill, to teaching drama at a girls college to also running a PCO booth, seems to have done it all. But he does not consider any profession superior or inferior, but considers all of them to be equal.

In the recent news of Kapil leaving CNWK due to differences between him and the channel was doing rounds.
