A few days ago, the writer of hit Pakistani TV show, ‘Humsafar’, made a startling yet frank statement that made news headlines.
Farhat Ishtiaq, the man who wrote ‘Humsafar’, said that Indian TV soaps are “too glamourised” and have too much of fake content.
Well, given the fact that the women in Indian daily soaps dress up as if they are going to a wedding even if they are not, and the negative portrayal of women in most of the TV shows, we do feel that there is some truth in Farhat’s words.
But we leave it to you readers, to decide how real are the daily serials (fiction and non-fiction) that we see on Television now.
