Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2: Here's a look back at Shweta Tiwari and Cezanne Khan's epic love saga

Kasautii Zindagi Kay is one of the famous serials by Ekta Kapoor. The show starred Shweta Tiwari and Cezzane Khan in the main roles. And we all will agree how the show was our constant daily dose of entertainment in 2000s and how it is still quite fresh in our minds. And now fans of the show can rejoice more as Ekta Kapoor who is rightly known as Indian TV's czarina is back with the reprised version of the show and the same will air from tonight i.e. September 25 at 8 o' clock on Star Plus. The reboot version of the show stars Erica Fernandez as Prerna and Parth Samthaan as Anurag. There are rumors that Hina Khan will play the role of Komolika and her look will reveal on the Star Parivaar awards show.

Before the show launches, let’s take a look back at the eternal love saga of Prerna and Anurag from the original serial. Anurag, played by Cezzane Khan appeared as cool-headed son of a very rich businessman.  As per Ekta Kapoor's style,  Anurag was the ideal son, lover as well as brother. Prerna, played by Shweta Tiwari was a happy-go-lucky girl and the ideal wife, daughter and mother. In the show, these two lead stars who had totally different personalities fell in love but they never unite.  

Another memorable role from the show was of Komolika. The role was essayed by Urvashi Dholakia and we have to say that she slayed the same. She bore all the hate from viewers as she was the one who plotted against Prerna and Anurag. She married Anurag only for money and power. No one can forget her loud makeup, oversized bindi and super hot avatar.

Another character who is very famous from the show is that of Mr Bajaj. The character was played by Ronit Roy.

The show went on for eight long years and the same paved ways for many actors such as Karanvir Bohra (Prerna’s son Prem) Hiten Tejwani (new Anurag Basu), Jennifer Winget (Prerna-Anurag’s daughter) and many others.
