Jodha Akbar : Maha Manga joins hands with Shahnaz!
In Zee TV’s ‘Jodha Akbar’, Shahnaz reveals to Maha Manga her reason for coming to the palace and that she is Nigaar, the daughter of Chand Begum and is the rightful owner to the throne as per Humayun’s letter to Chand Begum. She also shares with Maha Manga her belief that Jalal has captured her mother and hid her in the jungle. She tells Maha Manga that she had marked the spot in the jungle but now it has been removed by someone. Maha Manga is stunned to hear all this but she quickly gathers herself and pretends to be Shahnaz’s well wisher and agrees to help her find her mother. Shahnaz is happy that with Maha Manga’s help, she will soon meet her mother and get the throne as well as the secret treasure.
Jalal's queens are discussing Meena Bazaar and getting a chance to be with Jalal when Rukkaiya comes and assures them that she will take all of their suggestions in buying a gift for Jalal. The begums taunt her saying that Jodha might win the chance as she is very smart and comes up with new ideas making Rukkaiya furious. Jodha is feeling bad for the queens who will not get a chance to put up a stall at Meena Bazaar as per Jalal’s orders that only 3 of his wives will put up a stall and she decides to talk to Jalal about changing his mind. Jodha goes to meet Jalal who complains to her about not spending enough time with him. Jodha puts forward her reservations regarding the other queens not getting enough time or attention by Jalal who tells her that he announced Meena Bazaar for precisely this reason.
Meanwhile Mahachuchak is worried and Beg asks her the reason to which she says that she no longer wants to just rule over Kabul but instead wants to spread her empire to the whole of Hindustan and in this her main hindrance is Ghani Khan, Beg’s nephew, who is the representative of Jalal in her area and is very loyal to him. Beg suggests the name of Haider Qasim and states that he would help her fight against Jalal and his loyalty can be assured by an alliance of marriage. Just then her daughter comes and she asks her to use her beauty to win over one king but she refuses making Mahachuchak angry. However Beg interferes and asks her to let her daughter go as they have work to do.
Rukkaiya decides to gift Jalal a special sword while Jodha is worried that she has only one day to think of a gift for Jalal. She wants to gift something to Jalal related to the title of ‘Akbar’ which has been bestowed upon him by the people. After listening to many suggestions, she decides to take inspiration from Shahnaz’s idea of giving him a turban and asks Zakira to start working on a special crown that would signify the joining of two religions. Shahnaz thinks to herself that this crown will destroy Jalal.
