Jodha Akbar : Akbar gets to know about Rukkaiya's fake pregnancy!
In Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar, Rukkaiya and Jodha discuss Chand Begum with Rukkaiya dismissing her as being almost lost in the pages of history making Shehnaz who is present there feel that no one cares about her mother.
Akbar discuss Chand Begum’s letter with Atah and asks him to find out who had kept it Jodha’s palanquin as that may help them trace Chand Begum. He then asks Atah about the progress regarding Ghazi Khan and asks for him to be brought to the castle so that he can punish him personally. Shehnaz overhears Akbar and misunderstands him to be talking about killing her mother.
Mahamanga tells the guards keeping an eye on Chand Begum for her that she has called a doctor to do Chand Begum’s check up and that they should take care that no one gets to know about Chand Begum, especially now that Akbar has a picture painted of her.
Food is being sent from the shahi kitchen to the jail in honour of Rukkaiya’s pregnancy and Shehnaz sees this as a golden opportunity to search for her mother.
Meanwhile Jalal overhears the special doctor who had been called for Rukkaiya’s check up talk about how in her opinion Rukkaiya could never conceive because of her earlier miscarriage and is shocked. He talks to the doctor who gives him a medicine, telling him that if on its intake, Rukkaiya vomits then it would mean that she is not pregnant. On making Rukkaiya drink that medicine, he is stunned and hurt to see her vomit and he calls for the doctor who had originally informed him of Rukkaiya’s pregnancy. She reveals to him how she had been forced to do so by Rukkaiya. Akbar asks her to go and meet Rukkaiya.
On seeing the doctor, Rukkaiya gets tensed and tries to shoo her away only to be shocked by Akbar’s arrival who reveals to her that he knows her secret. Rukkaiya tries to ask for forgiveness but Akbar sternly shuns her efforts.
Will Jalal ever be able to forgive Rukkaiya? How will this betrayal affect him?
