Bhai Dooj Special: 5 TV shows that epitomise sibling love

As Diwali fever is receding, it is the festival of Bhai Dooj which is being celebrated with immense zeal and galore. Bhai Dooj celebrates sibling love and calls for another round of sweets. 

Not restricted to just a sister and brother pair, the festival celebrates the warmth and love shared by siblings in general. 

As we celebrate Bhai Dooj today, we list down 5 Indian Television shows that have portrayed the sibling bond perfectly. 

1. Ishqbaaaz:

When we speak about siblings bond, Star Plus' show Ishqbaaaz is a must have. Ishqbaaaz revolves around three brothers, Shivaay Singh Oberoi, Omkara and Rudra (played by Nakuul Mehta, Kunal Jaisingh and Leenesh Mattoo), who can do anything for each other. it's 'one for all, all for one' concept for these brothers. Their conversations and banter with each other have been one of the major highlights of the show. 

2. EK Hazaron Main Meri Behena Hai:

The show's title in itself is a testimony to what the story is all about. EHMMBH revolved around the love and warmth shared by two sisters, Jeevika and Maanvi (played by Krystle D'Souza and Nia Sharma), who can go miles in order to protect and shield each other from all adversities. The show perfectly portrayed the relationship shared by siblings. 

3. Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai:

Remember the Star Plus show revolving around the two cousin sisters, Saadhna and Ragini, (played by Sara Khan and Parul Chauhan). It portrayed the beautiful relationship that the two cousins shared despite adversities and society's discrimination based on race. 

4. Veera:

Veera revolved around the brother-sister bond shared by Veera and Ranvijay (played by Digangana Suryavanshi and Shivin Naran). The story traced the struggles of the two siblings who act as a shield for each other. Veera is about a brother who gets a sister as God's gift and how he can go miles to protect her against all the problems in life. 

5. Swaragini - Jodein Rishton Ke Sur:

Another show which focuses on the sibling bond is Swaragini which was based on the bittersweet relationship between two half-sisters, Swara and Ragini (played by Helly Shah, Tejaswi Prakash)
