With Thursday came in numbers of the current Television shows. And, in its first week, the Parth Samthaan - Erica Fernandes starrer, Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 made its debut in the top 10 with a striking 2.5 points. The overwhelming performance of other shows put this one at the 10th spot despite these numbers. However, we think there are concrete reasons which helped the show garner the numbers it has.

The fresh pairing
Erica Fernandes as Prerna and Parth Samthaan as Anurag have played their parts well. Not only have they fit into the shoes just about perfectly, but they've also pulled off a great chemistry together. Both of them have managed to breakthrough their previous pairings and together, are being loved by all.
The perfect mix of original and new
While the first episode of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 had received a mixed reaction because of its resemblance to the original season, the show gradually picked up pace as well as catered to the liking of the masses.
All the pre-buzz and promotions
How any show or a movie and its content is promoted does make a lot of difference to its success. And, similar was the case with this show as well. Not only did Ekta treat the show as one of her biggest ventures, but also, with Shah Rukh Khan on board as the narrator, there was an added charm to it.
A tried and tested story
We have already seen the story of Anurag and Prerna, and the makers do know what kind of response will it possibly garner. Putting a tried and tested formula to use is one of the safest bets, and of course, with new additions and innovations, this one will have to work hard on keeping the viewers hooked to it after all this while.
The channel - Star Plus
If we talk about the content that works on a channel, then Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 has all the right ingredients to make it a hit with the viewers. Though the channel does in fact have a variety of content available right now, something like Kasautii was indeed missing.
