Rannvijay Singha's Birthday Special: From being the 1st Roadie to a father, here's his inspirational journey

Back in 2003, we saw this unusual concept coming up on the small screen - MTV Roadies and no one ever knew that the show will continue for more than a decade. The season came and passed by, but what was common in all the seasons was Rannvijay Singha. 

A True Roadie

Remember, when the audition video came out on the web, it was tough to believe that how in the journey of the first season, he has groomed himself. You would rub your eyes in disbelief when you'll get to know he came just to win the bike Karizma - the prize given to the winner and that kept him going. In an interview, he had said, "Frankly speaking, I never wanted to come under the spotlight. I took up Roadies because I wanted to win the bike Karizma, which, according to me, is the best bike. So, destiny took its turn and I became what I am today."

Soon after he won the show, he got all the limelight which he had ever wished for. In his kitty, he had shows like MTV Stuntmania, MTV Splitsvilla Season 1, MTV The Fast and The Gorgeous and MTV Teen Diva. We even go to see him in MTV Splitsvilla Season 2. Dekhte hi Dekhte, he became one of biggest crushes of his girl fans.  After winning the show, MTV offered him to host the same show and so he has hosted all the seasons so far.

Bollywood ki Baatien-shaatien!

Not only he left his footprints on small screen industry, but he also he tried hands in Bollywood. He was seen in films like London Dreams and Action Replay. He was also part of Punjabi films like Dharti and Mod. Well, Rannvijay is still shining and people love him for all his skills. 

When he turned a judge for Roadies...

From winning the show to judging, it is indeed an achievement. Currently, he is judging MTV Roadies Rising. In an interview with us, he described his entire journey. He said, "First I was a contestant, then I hosted the show for few years. Now, I am the judge and a gang leader. I have actually done a lot of behind the scenes thing with MTV creative task with the production, spot boy everything. I still enjoy like a 20-year-old when I was a contestant. I remember I had such a blast and no responsibilities. I was going to the army, this was a journey of a lifetime. I had a great time travelling and making friends. Then next year I was at a job working very hard. Things couldn't go wrong, so I had to manage everything in a certain manner."

He also added, "As a judge, every time you do something next, you feel proud of yourself. Till the time I was a host, I had to tell them how it was to be done and about the consequences of not doing it. Now, I am responsible of how to nurture them, how to bring back confidence in them and tell them everything is OK and I care for them. At the end of the day, you feel for the four-five people of your gang, you want them to go ahead."

Band, Baaja and Baraat... Shaadi time!!

In March 2014, Rannvijay took to Twitter and announced, "Wanted all of you to know from me, here it is. I'm getting married next month!!" It did break a lot of hearts. He got hitched to his London-based girlfriend Prianka Vohra, in Mombasa, Kenya on April 14, 2014. Their wedding pictures went viral and every daily column was talking about the shaadi...

In an earlier interview, he revealed how he met his ladylove - "It was a chance meeting. She's from London and her relatives are in India, she had come to visit her cousins.  They happened to come for an after party at my friend's place and we just clicked instantly. No one played cupid."

Awww...!

Prianka, in an interview, talked about her rapport with Rannvijay. She said, "He’s always had this rugged biker best boy look with ripped jeans, leather jackets, funky Tees. But I told him he should grow up now, get rid of those Chains at the side of his jeans. After I entered his life he’s started wearing crisp shirts, khaki pants, and loafer shoes. That is more of my style but he looks best in his biker boy look."

Well, now we know how the evolution in his fashion sense came from!

Finally, mein Papa ban gaya...

Last year, Rannvijay took to Instagram and shared a picture of his wife announcing the good news. In the picture, he kept his hand on the baby bump and the caption was, "I love u so much.. And u too @priankasingha #satnamwaheguru #babymama." Prianka's caption also melt our hearts.. ""We missed you so much my baby daddy Can't wait to see you!!  #butterflies #soulja #workstoohard #nowtimeforplay #goingtogonuts #loveyouuuuu #satnamwaheguru."

And the day finally arrived when Prianka gave birth to a beautiful angel in January this year. In an interview with us, he finally revealed the baby girl's name. He said, "It's the best feeling, it's amazing and I truly thank god and I am grateful that I have got a daughter because they are so loving and daughters are the best. I am just looking forward to seeing her all the time. And every time I am working for a month or so, it's harder for me because I don't want to move away from my daughter and spend a lot of time with her. Her name is Kainaat. She is my Universe, so she is my Kainaat."
