Bigg Boss 12 First Week REVIEW: With rehashed task & disinterested contestants; it has been a dull affair

The controversial reality show Bigg Boss 12 kickstarted on September 16. This time again, some of the commoners embarked on a journey-of-a-lifetime to fight against celebrity contestants in the house for the next three months. Like every year, the makers of the reality show have come up with a unique theme. By now we all know the theme of this season is ‘vichitra Jodi”. With a Jodi of Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu, the controversial house has got some legit vichitra Jodi. Their Jodi has caught the attention of the viewers and we think, nothing besides them is grabbing the interest.
It's Friday, the makers will gear up to shoot for the first-weekend ka vaar episode of the season with star host Salman Khan. Before you wait to know what the weekend episodes have in store for you, let's take a low down to how the first week of the reality show has passed by. How fake and real it is, only time will tell but Anup and Jasleen have managed to stay in the top, thanks to their romantic relationship. Talking about other contestants of BB12, instead of enhancing the flavour of the show, they have left viewers quite disappointed with some unnecessary fights. Quite literally, they have left a burnt odour for the viewers in the first week itself.

Khan sisters Saba and Somi (commoners) have already started grabbing limelight by getting involved in fights. Housemates have started hating them, which means they are going a long way in the show. Ex-cricketer Sreesanth is being quite natural and is losing out his cool in every situation, which is leaving us confused if he will be able to survive in the game. Other than them, TV actress Dipika Kakkar is going good and is playing well. Singer Deepak Thakur, is quite entertaining but is not getting as much as limelight needed.
The rest of the housemates seems to be like wooden furniture, doing absolutely nothing that seems to be genuine. The proceedings in the first week of the house have remained quite dull and boring. The first captaincy task also could not catch audience interest. We all know, ugly fights, manipulative games, backbiting, changing loyalties and such things would only take the control over the steering of a sinking ship. The first week was so boring that it seems to be losing out on viewers' interest. The housemates and the makers really need to pump to raise the TRP of Bigg Boss 12.
This season also lacks popular names from the film industry and this is really going to affect the makers of the show. Even though we have Karanvir Bohra, Dipika Kakar, Srishty Rode as Television stars on the show, they really need to buck up and get intense in the fight. The current lot has no exciting background and has no curiosity value for the viewers. If the show continues with sheer dullness, this season of Bigg Boss is going to be a debacle.
