This year has already started off weird - an egg took over Kylie Jenner and became the most liked picture on the internet, people are sharing pictures of themselves from 10 years ago and calling it the infamous #10yearchallenge. But the latest fad on the internet has to do with more fun things like rainbows and unicorns! Kicking off a new trend in 2019, is for the unicorn obsessed.

This new trend quirky trend has women showing off their underarm hair on their social media profiles. The catch? The underarm hair is dyed in a variety of bright, rainbow colours, following the obsession of unicorns which began in 2018. Like most trends, there seems to be no starting point to this trend, but it comes just in time for pride month!

This movement also seems like the women's version of No Shave November and is being called Januhairy and is all about embracing their body hair. A couple of years ago, Miley Cyrus also dyed her pit hair a bright shade of pink and set off a trend back then. But this time it is all about helping women make a bold statement and feeling more comfortable and empowered in their own skin by being unprohibited and uploading pictures of their unshaven and unwaxed pits. And of course, taking the trend to the next level by dying it in a unicorn colour to make it look more pretty and appealing.

Like all trends, this one too is getting mixed reactions on social media with some people blatantly bashing the trend and calling it "gross", while others are excited to grow their armpit hair and colour it to be a part of the trend themselves!
