Google Doodle pays tribute to German composer and musician Johann Sebastian Bach on his birth anniversary
Google Doodle celebrated the birth anniversary of renowned German composer and musician Johann Sebastian Bach on 21st March, 2019 with its first ever AI-powered doodle.
Google Doodle honoured the renowned German composer and musician Johann Sebastian Bach on his birth anniversary on 21 March, 2019 with its first ever AI-powered doodle. Bach was born on 21 March 1685 in the German town of Eisenach and is considered to be as one of the greatest composers of all time. Bach belonged to a family of musicians. His father played different instruments and worked as the director of the town's musicians. He was able to build and repair the complex inner mechanisms of pipe organs and was known for his work as an organist.
Google used their first ever AI-powered doodle to honour this great musician on his birth anniversary where users can have an interactive experience and compose tunes of their choice in harmony of Bach's signature music style. Bach is widely known for his instrumental compositions such as the Art of Fugue, the Brandenburg Concertos and the Goldberg Variations as well as for vocal music such as the St Matthew Passion and the Mass in B minor. He died at the age of 65 on 28 July 1750.

A musician of the Baroque period, he also composed Latin church music, passions, oratorios and motets. His eldest brother Johann Christoph Bach cared for Bach when was orphaned at a very young age. At that time, he worked for many churches as a musician. He dedicated his later years of his life to working on his earlier compositions. He extended many of them before passing away after suffering from complications of a eye surgery.
