Every company expects certain targets to be fulfilled by the employees. Generally, if the employees do not succeed to achieve the targets they are either fired or demoted or given punishments like salary cuts. But a Chinese company took reprimanding to another level when some of the company's employees missed the targets. In a bizarre incident, a Chinese company forced its employees to crawl on the roads as a punishment for failing to achieve the year's targets. The staff crawled and made their way through the traffic with a man walking ahead of them holding the company's flag.
Fortunately, the shocking punishment process was stopped by the police. A video of the whole incident surfaced online and went viral soon. In the video, which was posted by the South China Morning Post, we can see how pedestrians were shell shocked to see employees crawling on the streets. The company received a lot of backlash for it.
As per reports, the firm was temporarily shut down after the incident. "I hope these companies which trample on their workers' dignity would be closed down," commented an internet user. "How could they give up their dignity for money?" commented another.
