It was a sad day for the world on Wednesday as many lives were lost in the TransAsia Airways flight GE235 that went crashing into the Keelung river in Taipei city of Taiwan. According to Taiwan's Central News Agency (CNA), the plane bound towards the offshore island of Kinmen went ramming into a highway viaduct and finally met its fate by crashing into the river. The mishap occurred a few minutes after the aircraft rook off in the air and there were 53 passengers and 5 crew members onboard the airplane.
News reports say that almost 23 people have lost their life in the crash and a few have gone missing.
