It's Subhash Chandra Bose also known as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's birth anniversary on January 23, 2019. The day marks his 122nd birthday and Netaji is considered as one of the most respected Indian nationalists we ever had. He fought for India's freedom against the British rule and his patriotism is still commendable. Netaji had coined 'tum mujhe khoon do main tumhe aazadi dunga' during the freedom struggle and it was cried by everyone throughout the country.

Netaji's death has been a mystery even now as people couldn't believe the fact that he passed away after a plane crash that took place in Taiwan, Japan in the year 1945. It was said that his death occurred from third-degree burns on August 18, 1945. However, some had believed that his death never took place and he will return to India to continue with the fight against the British.

Meanwhile, as the birth anniversary of Netaji is nearing, let's take a look at a few of his rare and unseen photos.

Netaji succeeded Jawaharlal Nehru as the President of the Indian National Congress in the year 1938. A year after that, he was succeeded by Rajendra Prasad in 1939. Netaji's parents were Prabhavati Dutt Bose and Janakinath Bose. He married Emilie Schenkl, an Austrian in the year 1942 as per Hindu traditions. They both had a daughter named Anita Bose Pfaff.

Despite being married for nine years, Bose and Emilie spent less than three years together. Emilie passed away in the year 1996 at the age of 85.
