Nitish Bharadwaj

Nitish Bharadwaj is best known for his portrayal of Lord Krishna in B.R. Chopra’s television series Mahabharat. For all those who don’t know, Nitish Bharadwaj gave up his career as veterinarian to play this role on TV so much so that he eventually became synonymous with Lord Krishna.

Pawan Kalyan

Pawan Kalyan is the younger brother of actor turned politician Chiranjeevi and he was loved for his portrayal of Lord Krishna in the film Gopala Gopala (2015). For the uninitiated, Gopala Gopala was the Telugu remake of OMG- Oh My God! Though he appears in the film for just 25 minutes, he was the soul of the film.

NT Rama Rao

This Telugu actor has played the role of Lord Krishna in 17 films and some fans think that he is Lord Krishna in real. His memorable performances as Lord Krishna include films like Sri Krishnarjuna Yudham (1962), Karnan (1964) and Daana Veera Soora Karna (1977).

Gemini Ganesan

Tamil film legend Gemini Ganesan has also essayed the role of Lord Krishna on screen. He is referred to as ‘Kadhal Mannan’ or ‘King of Romance’ in Tamil cinema. Gemini Ganesan played Lord Krishna in Chakradhari in 1948, and he was praised for the same.
