Choti Diwali is also known as Naraka Chaturdashi is celebrated because Narakasura was killed on this day by Krishna, Satyabhama and Goddess Kali.

Choti Diwali 2019: Naraka Chaturdashi Puja, Tithi and shubh muhurat

According to the Hindu Calendar, Naraka Chaturdashi is celebrated on the 14th day or Chaturdashi of the Krishna Paksha of the Ashwin month. This year Naraka Chaturdashi falls on 26th October 2019. The Chaturdashi Tithi begins on the morning of 26th October at 7:16 AM. This tithi ends on October 27th at 3:53 AM. The Abhyanga Snan Muhurat on Narak Chaturdashi is between 5:34 AM to 6:09 AM on Sunday, October 27.
