Delhi Government imposes night curfew till 30th April due to the rising Covid 19 cases
Delhi Government has released an immediate night curfew for all the people in the union territory till 30th April in light of increase in the Covid-19 cases.
As per the latest reports, a night curfew has been imposed by the Delhi government because of the second wave of Covid 19. There will be a night curfew in the city from 10 PM to 5 AM and it will be followed till at least 30th April 2021. The second wave of the Covid situation is stronger and cases are increasing at an exorbitant rate causing an alarming situation for the government and the people. Hence, in order to keep a check on the rising Covid cases, the night curfew has been imposed with immediate effect.
The news about the night curfew was released by ANI in their tweet which stated that the night curfew will be enforced in the UT from today. There will be also be a hold on large gatherings at restaurants and clubs at night. The essential services and emergency use of vehicles will be allowed as per the government advisory. There were talks about imposing night curfew in Delhi but nothing was confirmed till yesterday. As per reports, on Monday the fresh Coronavirus cases were 96,982 and 446-related deaths. This is an alarming situation for the government as the active cases at present are 7,88,223 and it is continuously increasing. The cumulative count for the cases in the country is 1,26,86,049, while the death toll is at 1,65,547. The vaccination process is also in full fledge as the vaccination count stands at 8,31,10,926.
