This heart-warming ad on a grandmother's love will leave you in tears

All through our childhood we were treated with delicacies made by our grandmothers. Be it just a simple fried rice or a spicy dal, there was some magic in her hands.

She will make the boring ghar ka khana (home-made food) into something so mouth-watering that you will relish every last bit of it.

Keeping her enigma alive, Ogilvy India has made this 4 minute advertisement for Adani Wilmar, manufacturer of Fortune Edible Oils and Food in India.

This video will take you back to your childhood days.

It starts with a grandmother visiting her grandson to a hospital. She is carrying a tiffin full of dal for him. Unfortunately, the nurse does not allow her to feed him. This saddens the grandma a lot.

This goes on for a couple of days, and the poor grandma tried all the tricks to convince the nurse.

But when it was her grandson’s birthday, the grandma carried a huge tiffin for the nurse too, thinking she will now allow her to feed her grandson. But it again went in vain.

Then something happened, after the nurse took the first bite from the grandma’s tiffin, she had a change of heart. Next day she allowed the grandma to feed her grandson.

After having a couple of spoons of her dal, the grandson, who was unable to move so far, held the tiffin in his hand and relished the dal.

This beautiful story is beyond words. I had tears in my eyes while watching it.
