In our day to day life, we tend to pass by so many people sitting by the roadside to earn their daily bread. But have you spared some time to stop and think how these people could be living their life? Whether or not they have had their meal during the entire day? What would their daily earnings be? If no, then here is an enlightening video that will touch your heart.

The video introduces a poor madari or monkey man who lives by holding performances of his pet monkey in different parts of the city on a daily basis. When asked by the maker of this video, actor Varun Pruthi, he revealed about himself.

This man has an iron rod to support his broken leg as he was hit by a reckless car driver once. He cannot walk properly due to his leg issue yet he travels 20 km daily to earn his livelihood. He loves his monkey more than himself. And there have been days when he has slept on an empty stomach just to feed his family!

About his pet, he said that the cops caught him several times and tried freeing the monkey from him. But the monkey keeps coming back to him as he likes his company. Sweet, no?

In a day, his maximum earnings are not more than Rs. 100 to Rs. 150. And the maximum amount someone has given him for a performance is Rs. 20. Sadly, there are many people who don’t even pay him after watching the performance.

And do you know what, this poor man burst into tears when he was offered Rs. 500 for one show! Such real life stories could teach one to value money in the times when, on one hand, there are people struggling day and night to earn a square meal, and on the other hand, there are people who are spending mindlessly on luxury items in a posh mall.
