PS3 and Vita PlayStation will not accept credit cards or PayPal soon
PlayStation's support page now officially stated that credit cards or PayPal will not be accepted on the PlayStation 3 and Vita PlayStation stores.
At the beginning of 2021, Sony announced that they are going to close their PlayStation 3 and Vita PlayStation stores. Many fans were disappointed with this announcement, eventually, Sony revised its decision, but they have made it extremely difficult for PlayStation 3 and Vita users to buy new games from their official store.
PlayStation's support page now officially stated that credit cards or PayPal will not be accepted on the PlayStation 3 and Vita PlayStation stores. It doesn't mean that users will not be able to access their gaming library completely. But they will have to perform a workaround for the same. Well, basically it's now extremely inconvenient for users to buy new games for their PS3 or Vita.

If you are a PS3 or Vita user and want to purchase a game from the official PlayStation store then you will have to purchase a gift card or you will have to buy that game with Sony's wallet which is accessible via Sony's official website. You need to add funds to the wallet via your PS4 or PS5.
Although on Vita PlayStation it's already extremely inconvenient to even log in to your PlayStation.
In case you work your way out and log in to your PlayStation 3 or Vita PlayStation then there are plenty of great games which you will not find anywhere else. There are many great games from PS1, PSP, and PS2 which are not available on the upgraded consoles. So if you have got into your PS3 or Vita then you should definitely check those games out.
