Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack is now available, along with N64 and Genesis games
The Nintendo Switch Online service has evolved to the next level, with the addition of a new Expansion Pack now available. When Animal Crossing: New Horizons launches on November 5, all $50/year subscribers will get access to a collection of Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games, as well as the Happy Home Paradise DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Nintendo earlier detailed the complete list of launch games available on Nintendo Switch Online for both the N64 and Genesis. Lesser-known games like Sin and Punishment and the Genesis shooter Musha join big hits like Mario Kart 64 and Star Fox 64. Additional games will be added over time, and we have a wish list of games we'd like to see.
A family plan for the Switch Online + Expansion Pack is also available for $80 per year. Nintendo also released $50 controllers for the Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis that were compatible with the new offering, but they quickly sold out.
As previously stated, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons expansion Happy Home Paradise will be included with the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack in November. In addition to Happy Home Paradise, Nintendo has revealed the details for New Horizons' final free DLC, which includes the return of the Roost in November.
New Horizons is the Switch's second best-selling game of all time, trailing only Mario Kart 8 in terms of sales (37 million).
