Far Cry 6 gets Free DLC for Stranger Things, Rambo, and Danny Trejo

Ubisoft has revealed the post-launch DLC roadmap for Far Cry 6, which includes crossover missions starring Rambo, Stranger Things, and actor Danny Trejo.

As reported by Gamespot.com, the missions are part of the free updates that will be available for Far Cry 6 at some point after its release. The DLC, which is playable solo or in co-op with two players, includes the crossover missions with the characters mentioned above, as well as weekly "insurgency" missions and events called operations.

The Insurgencies will take place each week after the game's October 7 launch, and they'll be playable even after a new one arrives. In the Insurgencies, players must track down Anton Castillo's underlings in order to earn new gear.

Special Operations, as they're known in Far Cry 6, transport players to "unique new areas" of Far Cry 6's fictional country Yara. "These operations will introduce new gameplay mechanics as players must snatch highly unstable chemical weapons from Anton's arms dealers and get to the extraction point before it overheats," a line from the game's description reads.

The first two locations, Mesozoico and Maceo, will be available at launch. The remaining four will be released in the future.

In the Danny & Dani Vs. Everyone DLC, the Danny Trejo mission includes helping Trejo sell his tacos by murdering a large number of people.

The Rambo All The Blood DLC features a "Rambo superfan" collaborating with Rambo himself in a "blood-soaked rampage straight out of an '80s action blockbuster." 

In the Far Cry 6 x Stranger Things DLC, The Vanishing, something happens to your adorable little dog Chorizo, and you must track him down and save him. 

The Season Pass for Far Cry 6 includes content that allows you to play as some of the most sinister villains from previous games—Vaas Montenegro, Pagan Min, and Joseph Seed—with the original actors returning. This was initially announced in June.

Ubisoft said, "Over the course of three DLC releases, players will embody a different villain struggling to escape the horrors of their own minds in a brand new 'die and retry' experience inspired by the roguelite genre,".

 "Starting with nothing more than a pistol to defend themselves, players will need to find new weapons and unlock power-ups to become stronger and progress deeper into the villains' psyches. Each DLC will provide a unique opportunity to better understand each villain's past, personal demons, and motivations by fusing intense action and storytelling."

The Season Pass costs $40 USD and is included with the Gold, Ultimate, and Collector's editions.

Here's what it includes and when the content will be available:

Three DLC episodes, playable solo or co-op with a friend even for those who do not own the Season Pass.
Episode 1: “Vaas: Insanity” is planned for release in November 2021.
Episode 2: “Pagan: Control” is planned for release in January 2022.
Episode 3: “Joseph: Collapse” is planned for release in March 2022.
