Zimbabwe captain Hamilton Masakadza retires after ICC suspends Zimbabwe Cricket
The Zimbabwe skipper played 38 Tests, 209 ODIs and 62 T20Is for his country, scoring 9410 runs across formats. He also scored ten hundreds and 42 fifties in his 18-year long career.
Zimbabwe cricketer Hamilton Masakadza has announced his retirement from international cricket after the conclusion of the T20I tri-series against Afghanistan and Bangladesh later this month.
Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed this news on Twitter, and wrote, "Hamilton Masakadza has announced he will be retiring from all forms of international cricket after the T20I tri-series in Bangladesh".
The Zimbabwe skipper played 38 Tests, 209 ODIs and 62 T20Is for his country, scoring 9410 runs across formats. He also scored ten hundreds and 42 fifties in his 18-year long career.
His highest score was an unbeaten 178 that he made against Kenya ten years ago.
The upcoming tri-series will be played from September 13 to 24. It will be Zimbabwe's first series after the ICC suspended the Zimbabwe Cricket board for violation of its constituition after the elected members were suspended by the Sports and Recreation Committee.
