West Indies' pacer Sheldon Cottrell tweets about MS Dhoni's dedication towards the Indian Army
Sheldon Cottrell salutes MS Dhoni for his love towards the Indian Army. The former Indian skipper will serve the parachute regiment of the Indian army
West Indian pacer Sheldon Cottrell heaped praise on Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his dedication towards the Indian army. He posted a series of tweets and wrote as to how an inspirational figure the former Indian skipper is. The pacer will be fondly remembered for his 'salute' celebrations which took social media by storm during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. He tweeted, "This man is an inspirational on the cricket field. But he is also a patriot and a man that gives to his country beyond duty. I have been at home in Jamaica with my boys these past weeks and had time to reflect.
In another tweet, the Jamaican shared a video of MS Dhoni, when he was given the rank of Honorary Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army by the President of India. "I shared this video with friends and family because they know how I feel about honor but the moment between wife and husband shows an inspirational kind of love for country and partner. Please enjoy as I did."
MS Dhoni, will not be part of the limited over squads for the upcoming tour to the Carribean island. The former skipper will be serving the Parachute regiment of the Indian Army. "Lieutenant Colonel (Honorary) MS Dhoni is proceeding to 106 Territorial Army Battalion (Para) for being the Battalion from 31 Jul - 15 Aug 2019."
The Virat Kohli led side will play 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs and 2 Tests between 3rd August and 3rd September. This will be India's first tour after the loss against New Zealand in the semifinals of the 50 over World Cup.
