Team India's best chance to win the coveted World Cup trophy came to an end when they lost to New Zealand in the semifinals. After the loss there were widespread rumors circulating on social media that there is a rift between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. But bowling coach Bharat Arun has confirmed that they both share a very hearty relationship on and off the field.

He said, "It has to be seen to be believed. Rohit often runs up to Kohli to discuss things. They get along very well, share great admiration for each other's ability. Kohli led the side well, is maturing as a captain and it's nice that he has Rohit for support. The spirit in the camp was wonderful throughout."

When asked about the atmosphere within the team and whether there were any difference of opinions in the dressing room, Arun said that each and every player in the team gets a chance to voice their views and the final decision made is always a collective one.

Bharat Arun, who is in his second stint as bowling coach with the Indian team said, "It's not that we agree on everything. We have our arguments and discussions on various aspects like the composition of the team and the strategy. Everyone voices his opinion. But at the end of the day, the other person's view is respected and a collective decision is taken."

Currently, the BCCI has invited fresh applications for the head coach, batting coach, bowling coach, fielding coach, physio and administrative manger. The current set will automatically qualify for the selection process.
