Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly has once again asked for Rohit Sharma's inclusion in the test side in order to solve India's problem in the opening position.

India had a fantastic tour of West Indies where they clean swept the host in the two-match series. While the bowlers did all the carnage with the ball in hand, the batting seems to be some concern with the opening combination of Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul failing to give the team a good start.

"After the World Cup, India embarked on the tour of West Indies with a few areas and the role of a few cricketers as well to be ironed out," wrote Ganguly in a column.

"The opening still remains an area to work on. Mayank Agarwal looks good but will need a few more opportunities. His partner, KL Rahul, though, has flattered to deceive and that creates an opening at the top," added Ganguly

This is not the first time that Ganguly has asked for Rohit Sharma to be drafted into the test side. With Hanuma Vihari and Ajinkya Rahane settling in the middle, there is not much room left for Rohit to show his talent in red-ball cricket. With KL Rahul struggling at the top, its time for team management to have a look at Rohit for the opening slot.
