Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali to marry an Indian girl, Here's how Twitterati reacted to it

Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali on Tuesday clarified on Twitter that he is getting married to an Indian girl, Shamia Arzoo. Earlier reports suggested that the pacer will marry Shamia, who hails from Haryana on August 20 at the Atlantis Palm Hotel. However, the pacer tweeted that nothing is finalized yet and the two families haven't met yet.

His tweet read, "just wanna clarify my wedding is not confirmed yet, our families have yet to meet and decide upon it. will make a public announcement very soon in sha allah."

Hasan Ali will not be the first Pakistan cricketer to have an Indian wife. Apart from him Shoaib Malik, Zaheer Abbas and Mohsin Hasan Khan have Indian wives.

Shamia has a engineering degree from Manav Rachna University and was previously employed with Jet Airways. If reports are to be believed, her family will leave for UAE on 17th August.

Hasan Ali would be fondly remembered for his performance in the ICC Champions Trophy in 2007 where he helped his side lift the trophy. Till date, he has picked up 82 wickets in 53 ODIs and 33 wickets in 9 Tests. He would be expected to play a crucial role in the upcoming ICC World Test Championship.
