MS Dhoni had opted out of India's tour to West Indies to serve in the Army. He returned to New Delhi after his two-week stint ended in Kashmir
Indian cricketer MS Dhoni returned to New Delhi after his stint with the Territorial Army that lasted for two weeks. The wicket-keeper began his stint with the 106A Battalion (Para) in Jammu on July 31, and stayed with the troops till August 15.
The honorary Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army, Dhoni took a break from cricket and opted out of the tour of West Indies even as retirement rumours were doing the rounds. After the conclusion of the World Cup 2019, the player chose to honour his duties for the Army.
During his stint, Dhoni was in the Kashmir Valley as a part of the Victor Force. He took part in patrolling, guarding and was on post duty just like a regular soldier. On India's Independence Day, he was in Ladakh and even played cricket with the children.
Here are a few pictures after he returned to Delhi and reunited with his daughter Ziva.
