Malinga not only went past Wasim Akram to become the 1st-ever bowler in international cricket to pick up 5 hat-tricks but also went on to pick up 4 in 4, thereby becoming the only bowler to achieve the feat in international cricket twice.
Team India pacer and Mumbai Indians teammate Jasprit Bumrah was full of praise for the Yorker maestro under whom he learned the art of bowling yorkers.

Malinga, who surpassed Pakistan spinner Shahid Afridi's tally of 97 scalps to become the leading wicket-taker in T20Is on Sunday, went past the 100-wicket mark on Friday in Pallekele.
Malinga's inspired spell gave Sri Lanka a consolation win in the T20I series. New Zealand had won the first 2 T20Is to seal the 3-match series as early as Sunday.
