India vs South Africa T20I squad: No MS Dhoni and Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya in place of Bhuvneshwar Kumar
The BCCI has announced a 15 member squad for the 3 match T20I series against South Africa from 15th September
After the Test series against West Indies, Team India will host South Africa for 3 T20Is and 3 Tests between September 15 and October 23. The BCCI has announced a 15-man squad for the T20Is.
All-rounder Hardik Pandya is back into the scheme of things after the ICC World Cup 2019. His addition in place of Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the only change that India have made to the squad which won the T20I series against West Indies 3-0 early this month. MS Dhoni continues to be absent from the T20I squad and so does Jasprit Bumrah. Rishabh Pant will continue to keep wickets for the side.
Squad:
Virat Kohli (c), Rohit Sharma (vc), KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant (wk), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Krunal Pandya, Washington Sundar, Rahul Chahar, Deepak Chahar, Khaleel Ahmed and Navdeep Saini.
The series will also present a wonderful opportunity for Shreyas Iyer and Manish Pandey to battle it out for a spot in the middle-order. In Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah's absence, the bowling line-up looks a bit inexperienced. Navdeep Saini, who had an impressive run in the T20Is against West Indies will be the one to watch out for.
