Not all Indian cricketers have finished their class 12 education, but they never let affect their dreams of becoming a cricketer.

It is not easy for a budding player to devote equal attention to cricket and his studies, There have been many instances of the Indian cricketers compromising with their studies to achieve the highest pinnacle in sport. Here are the famous Indian players and their educational qualifications. 

Virat Kohli: The current Indian skipper has completed his schooling till class 12th. He studied in Vishal Bharathi and then shifted to Saviour Convent for classes 9 and upwards in New Delhi. 

MS Dhoni: The wicket-keeper is a B.Com drop-out from St. Xavier's College in Ranchi. He could not give his final exams due to cricket, but the college decided to give him an honorary degree after he helped India win the 2011 World Cup. He completed his schooling from DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir School. 

Shikhar Dhawan: The reliable Indian opener from Team India completed his class 12 from St. Mark's Senior Secondary High School in New Delhi. 

Rohit Sharma: Just like his opening partner Dhawan, Rohit too has completed his education till class 12. He studied in Our Lady of Velankani School, and shifted to Swami Vivekananda International School thereafter. 

Ajinkya Rahane: The Test player has completed his BA Degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai. 

Ravichandran Ashwin: The off-spinner completed his scooling from Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan and St. Bede's. He then completed his B.Tech in Information Technology from SSN College. 

Gautam Gambhir: The left-handed opener completed his schooling from Modern School in Delhi and graduated from Hindu College. 

Yuvraj Singh: The former player completed his class 12 from DAV Public School in Chandigarh. 

Hardik Pandya: The all-rounder could not complete his studies due to poor financial conditions and is a 9th standard drop-out. However, he did not let his educational status come in the way of achieving his cricketing dreams. 

Sachin Tendulkar: The maestro could only complete schooling till class 10 from Sharadashram Vidyamandir High School, as he was called up to play for India when he was only 16 years old. 

Rahul Dravid: The Wall pursued MBA from St. Joseph's College, but dropped out due to his cricket committments. 

Anil Kumble: The former spinner has completed his Mechanical Engineering from R.V College.

Sourav Ganguly completed his BA in Commerce from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata while Virender Sehwag is a graduate as well. Ravi Shastri too is a B.Com graduate and passed out from R.A Poddar College.

Other than these players, Zaheer Khan is an engineering drop-out, while VVS Laxman was pursuing MBBS before he focused on cricket.
