India vs West Indies: Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant help India win T20I series 3-0; Twitter reacts
India won the third T20I against Windies comprehensively and sealed the series 3-0
Virat Kohli starred as India defeated West Indies by seven wickets in the third T20I in Guyana to complete a 3-0 whitewash on Tuesday. The Indian skipper scored a fifty and put on 106 runs with Rishabh Pant, as the duo helped India recover after they had lost the two Indian openers early.
The young wicket-keeper top-scored for India with an unbeaten 65, while Kohli made 59.
Earlier, Rajasthan seamer Deepak Chahar made full use of his chance on the tour as he took three wickets in his first two overs, which left West Indies reeling at 14 for 3. He got the ball to swing both ways, but his effect was negated by Keiron Pollard who scored his first half century for Windies in seven years. He was aided by Rovman Powell as well, who scored a quickfire 32 in 20 balls, as they notched up 146 for 6.
However, their efforts were not enough as a clinical Indian side completed the win.
