Team India will take on West Indies in the first T20I at Lauderhill, Florida on 3rd August. This will be India's first assignment after the ICC World Cup semifinal loss against New Zealand. Keeping in mind the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup to be held in Australia in 2020 the selectors have looked to try out different players to finalize the best possible combination for the premiere T20 tournament. The likes of Manish Pandey, Shreyas Iyer, Navdeep Saini and Rahul Chahar have been given a chance to showcase their skills at the international arena.

But one Indian will have his priorities set when he comes out to bat. India's run-machine Rohit Sharma needs 4 more sixes to surpass Chris Gayle for the most number of sixes in T20 international. Rohit Sharma has so far hit 102 sixes whereas the mighty Jamaican has smashed 105 sixes in 58 games. The Jamaican is closely followed by Martin Guptill who has struck 103 sixes in 76 matches.

Here's the list:

1. Chris Gayle - 105 sixes

2. Martin Guptill - 103 sixes

3. Rohit Sharma - 102 sixes

4. Colin Munro - 92 sixes

5. Brendon McCullum - 91 sixes

Currently, both Martin Guptill and Rohit Sharma have the chance to surpass Chris Gayle as he is unlikely to play any more T20Is for the West Indies. The Jamaican won't feature in the three-match series but will be part of the West Indies ODI squad after which he might announce his retirement from international cricket.

Of late, Rohit Sharma has been in sublime form, having smashed five hundreds in the recently concluded World Cup. He will be looking to carry on his rich vein of form and help his side to victories.
