Former cricket Herschelle Gibbs sent netizens crazy after tweeting out a GIF of Alia Bhatt, without realizing who she is.
Former South Africa cricketer Herschelle Gibbs needs no introduction. The right-handed batsman who played all formats of the game for 14 years was a prolific run-getter for Proteas and has many records during his playing career. Talking about Alia Bhatt, she needs no introduction, the Bollywood actress has made a name for herself with films like Highway and Dear Zindagi. While she may a big name in the film industry both in India and abroad, but Gibbs had no idea who Alia was up until yesterday.
In the recent hilarious conversation between the two on Twitter has the internet making memes. It all started when the former cricketer shared a simple tweet "Morning birds are tweeting so I'll do the same and say have a good one folks"
The tweet was liked by Twitter's handle, and Gibbs then posted: "That feeling when @Twitter likes your tweet," with a GIF that featured Alia Bhatt. When a user asked if he knew Alia, Gibbs replied, "I have no idea who the lady is" However, Gibbs seemed to have subsequently realized who it was with the reactions on the tweet rapidly increasing and he later tweeted: "Didn't know you were an actress @aliaa08 but nice gif"
Alia seemed to have taken note of the sequence of events and retweeted Gibbs with a GIF of her imitating the umpire's action for a boundary to which Gibbs replied: "I deal in 6s madam, not fours."
