Mumbai Indians teammates Ishan Kishan and Mayank Markande were involved in an on-field banter which was caught on the mic during the final of the ongoing Duleep Trophy. Markande (India Green) and Ishan (India Red) found themselves on opposite sides during the ongoing tournament.
Markande arrived at the crease with his side in deep trouble at 99/6. He was welcomed by a series of hilarious comments by Ishan, who tried to provoke his IPL teammate towards hitting a big shot. The leg spinner, however, kept his cool and kept playing according to the merit of the situation ending up top-scoring with an unbeaten 76 as India Green folded for a respectable 231-all out.

However, the stump mic caught the banter where Ishan Kishan was heard as saying: "Isske hath mein jaan nahi hai. Utna nahi pahunchega isse. Paaji thoda aur upar aa jaiye, nahi maarega. Khelne ka mann nahi hai bhai ko. (He doesn't have a lot of strength in his arms. He won't hit it that far. (motioning towards his fielders) Come forward, don't stay back. He is not interested in playing)."
Earlier on Wednesday, seasoned left-arm pacer Jaydev Undakat returned a four-wicket haul to help India Red seize the early initiative as India Green were left reeling at 147 for 8 on the rain-hit opening day.
