Vinod Rai, Committee of Administrators (CoA) head on Friday turned down the speculations going on around about the ‘rift’ between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, saying this is all created by media.
Replying to a query asked about the ‘rift’, Rai said, “These are all stories created by you guys,” as quoted by PTI.
After India was eliminated in the semi-final of ICC Cricket World Cup, reports of a rift between skipper Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma came in the limelight. It was said that there were two groups within the team, one in favour of Kohli and other in Rohit. However, Rai completely dismissed those reports.
He also said there hasn’t been any review of India’s performance in the World Cup 2019.
"Where is the time to have a review meeting?" asked Rai referring to the Indian team's departure on July 29 for the West Indies tour. "The usual feedback from the support staff and manager's report is still awaited," He said.
The CoA held a meeting on Friday to discuss several artefacts. Since there have been a lot of complaints of conflict of interest, this matter is also going to be heard soon.
Besides helping the COA in ensuring timely state elections (September 14 deadline), the amicus will also approach the Supreme Court on the matter related to conflict of interest," a BCCI official was quoted as saying by PTI.
