Saath Nibhana Saathiya: Gaura calls Kokila “fatso” and insults other Modi women on Vidya-Shravan’s sangeet!
Lately, we are shocked to see Kokila (Rupal patel), the strong-willed matriarch, so much blinded by the love for her friend Gaura (Vandana Pathak) that she is putting up with the insults meted out to her and her family every single day.
The problem with Gaura is that she is holding on to a grudge due to some mistake done by Kokila in the distant past which has something to do with Gaura’s family. Now, Gaura is hell-bent on getting her grandson Shravan married to Kokila’s granddaughter Gaura so that she could easily exact revenge. But, even otherwise Gaura is leaving no stone unturned to belittle the Modis by calling Gopi as “Chatanki” (little woman), Kokila as “fat”, Paridhi as “Heroine” and taking hearty pleasure in insulting Meera by calling her names. In the upcoming episode, we will see Gaura forcing Kokila to dance to “Ae Mera Dil Pyaar Ka Deewani’ on the sangeet and that too, against the latter’s wishes. Poor Kokila will have no choice but to bear it all for the sake of her granddaughter Vidya’s happiness lest Gaura gets annoyed with her for turning down her wish.
All this has forced us to rack our brains to understand why can’t Kokila fathom Gaura’s intentions. Guess that’s how TV soaps are supposed to be.
