After her final face-off with the New Sanam (Additi Gupta), Sanam (Surbhi Jyoti) jumped off a canyon with the crystal containing the former’s supernatural powers, thus leaving her high and dry. While, Sanam took re-birth as a noble soul in quite a poor family in Himachal Pradesh and got named as Mahira, the New Sanam married a movie star Naseeb Khan aka Anand Kumar and became Khan Begum. Of all her associates, only Lateef and Khala have chosen to be with Khan Begum. After marrying Naseeb, Khan Begum gave birth to two sons and a daughter. However, she got too engaged in beautifying herself that she ended up becoming a negligent mother. This caused a rift in her relationship with her husband. She is counting on her sons to fight for the power she lost in the distant past.
In the latest episode, we saw a grown-up Mahira landing at the Khan Begum’s palatial residence after 25 years. Mahira, who is not your typical glamourous heroine, meets her step-sisters and is ushered into their servant quarters. Mahira’s purpose to be in the city is to work part time as a horoscope writer in a local newspaper. Her step-sisters are not fond of her at all, yet can’t refuse her to stay with them. Mahira being a clean-hearted, unassuming, simple and funny girl, is not bothered with the apparent hatred. On the other hand, Khan Begum is still unaware about the entry of a familiar looking girl in her house.
