Vir Das to loose Weight for '1984'

Vir Das will be loosing some weight for his upcoming film 1984 which is based on the infamous Sikh riots that happened 30 years ago. Vir plays a sikh in the film and director wants him to look ordinary and simple as possible to bring out the simplicity of his character.
He's even been forbidden to use make-up as they want him looking as natural as possible.
Vir has been running everyday in the village outside Ludhiana to get into required lean shape and now has started shooting for the film in Ludhiana along with Soha Ali Khan.
