Actor Chandan Roy Sanyal, notable for his dark layered performances in films like "Kaminey", "D-Day" and "Prague", has embarked on a new career as a filmmaker. He has completed a short film titled "Hiroshima", amusing as it may sound, about a bottle of soya sauce!

"My film 'Hiroshima' is about a soya sauce bottle. It is set in the ruins of a restaurant named Hiroshima. The film opens in the aftermath of the (atomic bombing) tragedy, the area strewn with limbs and bodies," he said of the four-minute film.

"'Hiroshima' contains an eerie soundtrack, and is dedicated to (filmmaker) Stanley Kubrick. I'm working on the film's post-production."

He is getting his film ready for the Cannes and Berlin festivals.
