Vivek takes Abhay’s berth

Ek Challis ki Last Local, a film that turned out to be a surprise hit in 2007 which also garnered the support of the critics, did not only launch the career of Director Sanjay Kandhuri but resurrected lead actor Abhay Deol’s career giving him his first considerable hit. However, for the sequel, director Sanjay Kandhuri has decided not to repeat the lead actor and has finalized Vivek Oberoi for the same who seems to already have his bag full with potential hits like Zilla Ghaziabad and the eagerly awaited Krissh 2. It was earlier reported on several occasions how four years after the release of the first film writer-director Sanjay Kandhuri has finally worked on his dream project and approached Vivek for the same. The director to get VOs approval went to Wai where VO was shooting for Zilla Ghaziabad and that’s where he got the nod for the script. A source informs us that after the success of the first film the director wanted to a bigger film with A-list actors as he has a bigger budget and wants to make an out an out commercial film. That’s the reason he has selected Vivek to act in his next. The source goes on to add that the sequel will be a commercial comical thriller but unlike the first film that was based in Mumbai this will be based in Delhi and will have the protagonist miss the last local and for the same the film is titled ‘Gyarah Challis ki Last Metro’. On talking to Sanjay he states , that yes I have finalized Vivek for my next film but its too soon to divulge any further details , will let all know when the time is right’. The film will be produced by Amit Chandrra under his banner Invincible Entertainment Pvt Limited . Amit Chandrra had earlier co produced Karthik Calling Karthik along with Farhan Akthar.
