Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi: What the hell is going on?
The latest developments in the show have forced us to question the state of mind of the writers in which they wrote the script!
Imagine Ishani bringing RV on the spot where Chirag was killed so that she could reveal the ultimate secret about Ritika. But, what will you do when RV, instead of trying to take Ishani seriously and try to rack his brains to find the identity of Chirag’s real killer, dismissed her talk and changed the topic in the middle to focus on some random mistake Ishani did a few hours back! Talk about being silly.
Anyway, in the recent episode, RV brings Ishani home where she finds her family comprising Ritesh, Sharman, Chaitali and Pratik – ready with their packed bags to find another dwelling elsewhere. It is revealed that Ritika has made arrangements to separate Ishani from her family so that her support system is lost and she gets a step away from victory. Ritika pretends to be sympathetic towards Ishani’s family and gives the excuse that the servant quarters – where the Parikhs were put up – are under the attack of termites. She offers them keys of the flat bought by her father years ago and asks them to spend their days there for a few days.
The next morning, Ishani wakes up at 4 to eat sargi for the teej fast to win RV’s love. However, Ritika eats the only ladoo which was made by Amba some time back and defeats Ishani’s purpose.
Now now, Ishani showing love for RV would have looked sweet had she not made her purpose to be with him clear. Wasn’t she in the house to expose Ritika by faking her memory loss and then after return to her fiancé Shikhar? So why the need to observe teej fast and eat sargi for RV? On top of that, Ritika will be seen mouthing a very blah dialogue in the next episode which will surely make the married woman cringe! Ritika will add salt to Ishani’s wound by saying that without eating sargi made by her MIL, she won’t be able to observe the fast and will even fail to win her husband’s lifelong love. Can someone please tell the writers of this dialogue that women who are living away from their MILs or whose MILs are no longer alive, observe the fast, if they so will. And does Ishani have to give any hoot to this “issue” when all she is doing is pure drama to save RV?
