Having trouble losing weight inspite of following a diet? Then maybe you are making these breakfast mistakes which is leading to weight gain. Check out these mistakes and make sure to avoid them ASAP.
Even if you follow a strict diet, you should never consider skipping breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and most of us manage to let go of it because of diet plans or because we are getting late to reach the office, or college. What we don't realise is that breakfast is not only the most important meal of the day, but breakfast also helps to give a kick start to your metabolism, and good metabolism is essential for weight loss.
And if you are following a diet that lets you miss breakfast, then you will not lose weight, but you will gain a few kgs. Here are a few breakfast mistakes that we all make, which leads to weight gain and not weight loss. Read it and understand why breakfast is important for weight loss and how you should avoid skipping it.
Having juice for breakfast:

Having a glass of fresh fruit juice or fresh vegetable juice might sound like a healthy option, but it's sadly not. Even if you are drinking a glass of healthy juice, you are still missing out on a very important element of a healthy breakfast — fibre. When you consume vegetables and fruit juice, you miss out on their fibre content, and it is the fibre content that makes you feel full for longer durations. So, if you want to avoid cravings post breakfast, then skip the juice and eat fruits and veggies instead.
Skipping out on proteins:

Yes, we should consume breakfast like a king, but that doesn't mean that we should consume carbs at breakfast. Try adding proteins to breakfast. Make a switch from parathas to boiled eggs and toast. Having a protein-rich meal for breakfast will make you feel full and thereby, help you avoid overeating.
Delaying your breakfast:

The time you have your breakfast also plays a key role in your diet. Ideally, you should consume breakfast within two hours of waking up. It's not only better for your metabolism, but delaying your breakfast to a later time leads to overeating, hence you should consume your breakfast on time.
Having sugar in breakfast:

Instead of opting for a bowl of cereal, try opting for a more nutritious breakfast meal. A bowl of cereal looks like a nutritious meal but it's packed with sugar. Hence, avoid sugary items for breakfast since you are stocking up on more calories than what you require.
Skipping breakfast altogether:

Yes, sometimes we have those early morning meetings or classes, and we cannot help but skip our breakfast. But while doing this we don’t realize that doing so makes us lethargic and also hampers our metabolism. And this can be bad if you are planning to lose some extra kgs.
Hence, if you are planning to lose weight then avoid making these mistakes right away.
