Is your friend having a bad day? Here's how you can help them

Every now then we have a bad day that can feel like an emotional roller coaster. We all have our ups and downs and bad days are not very uncommon. Something as small as missing a ride or getting wet in the rain can put us in a sour mood, but it feels terrible when you have to be a quiet spectator. When your loved one or your friend has a bad day, just watching them struggle can turn your mood sour and the worst feeling is when you just can't seem to help them no matter how hard you try. This is why it is essential to do the right things to help your loved ones get through a bad day.

Here are some things that you can do for them.

1. Get them flowers or balloons

Flower can change a person's mood instantly. The pleasant scent and the colors can brighten their day and lighten their mood and the same goes for balloons. Colorful balloons are a reminder some childhood fun and turn anyone's mood around.

2. Give them a hug

Research states that a hug can release hormones that make you happy. A nice long hug may release happy hormones in your friend or loved one's body and put them in a good mood. An embrace can release oxytocin, the happy hormone.

3. Lend them your ear

Just being a good listener can do wonders for a person. Sometimes just sharing what they feel or are going through can make a huge difference. Just sit and listen to their problems and that's it. Just knowing that someone knows and understands them can make them feel a lot lighter and better.

4. Get them chocolate

Get them to eat some dark chocolate. Dark chocolate contains antioxidants and minerals and certain chemicals that can release happy hormones in the body. A bar of dark chocolate can boost their mood much better than drinking at a bar.

5. Take them out for dinner

Spending time with someone who is having a bad day may change things around for them. Having someone to stand by them and spending time with them makes them realize that they are not alone and that can easily lift their mood.

6. Bring them some tea

A cup of tea can work like magic. Some regular tea or herbal tea can help people relax a little and turn things around for them. Bring your loved a cup of warm magic tea to lift their mood.
